About Direct Care Sitting Service

 

Direct Care Sitting Service (DCSS) is a small family owned company that was established in September 1999 by Ms. Lois Sewell-Powell of  Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. In 1967, as an 11 year old girl, Ms. Lois lost the complete use of her body and was hospitalized for a year. From this personal self journey of healing and growing, Ms. Lois made a promise to always help and heal others. To date, it has been over 40 years and Ms. Lois is still going strong in the healthcare industry bringing heavenly care and compassion to all that she encounter. Direct Care Sitting Services will give individualized "Direct Care" to every person within our hands with great time, attention and heartfelt love.

Direct Care Sitting Service (DCSS) Staff members are carefully selected based upon certified training in their perspective fields such as, nursing, sitting/companionship, administration, business management...etcetera. Our team is dedicated to the fullest satisfaction of our client base and we aim to give 100% of ourselves at all times. Our mission aims in making our client/customers feel as family and close friends; we guarantee individualized compassionate care with a professional flair.

DCSS team members will address any concerns you may have expeditiously, by allowing our Quality Control Manager or Certified Nursing Assistant Supervisor to conduct a home visit to rectify the situation (whatever it may be).

Services

Direct Care Sitting Service provides the following services to our customers/clients in the conveniences of their own home:

  • Regular Personal Hygiene & Oral Hygiene Care

  • Routine Bathing & Shampooing

  • Routine Skin Care & Shaving

  • 2 Hour Client Bed Rotation (Will aid in eliminating bed sores.)

  • Routine Linen Change

  • Regular Light Housekeeping

  • Regular Light Laundry Service

  • Regular Light Meal Preparation

  • Doctor Visit Transport (Upon Request)

  • Medication Reminders (Upon Request)

  • Blood Pressure Monitoring (Upon Request)

  • Blood Sugar Testing (Upon Request)

Additional Fee Services

Direct Care Sitting Service also provide the following services (But Not Limited Too): 

​

  • 1-Hour Detailed Bath 

  • Light Spa Treatment (Hand & Foot Nail Filing/Grooming, Polish, Light Massage, Hair Setting...etcetera)

  • Companionship Visit (Non-Scheduled Visits)

  • Personal Errands (Non-Scheduled Errands)

  • Doctor Visit Transport (Non-Scheduled Visits)

  • Peep-In & Out Service (Assisted Living Facilities Only)
